Kwik Lifts originated from combining 2 post lift and mid-rise scissor lift technology.
A two-post would be a first choice car lift for most, but while this sounds great in theory, there are obstacles that are often impossible to overcome.

Limited space is the main reason that people who want a full-size car lift can’t get one. Adding another building or altering an existing building for a car lift could take a lengthy planning application and easily cost thousands. Mid-Rise scissor lifts are an alternative, but they are heavy and would need to be driven over for parking a car if space was an issue.
